GOD’S PEOPLE WILL TAKE UP SERPENTS
SIGNS TO WITNESS
During his first encounter with God, Moses asked how would people ever believe that he had talked to the real God? Then God asked Moses what was in his hand? Moses answered by saying he was holding a rod. The rod represents authority or power (see Exodus 4:1-9 NKLV).
God instructed Moses to toss the rod onto the ground. The rod turned into a serpent. Then God instructed Moses to take up the serpent by the tale. Immediately, the serpent became a rod again.
God said, “that they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.” (see Exodus 4:1-9 NKLV). This was to be a sign that the real God had appeared to Moses. This sign was given so that they “might believe.”
AARON’S SERPENT SWALLOWS THE ENEMIES
GOD MADE MOSES LIKE GOD TO PHARAOH
Pharaoh turned down the first request by Moses to let God’s people go. The people complained to Moses because Pharaoh made their lives more difficult. In view of the current situation, God declared to Moses, “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet. You shall speak all that I command you. And Aaron your brother shall tell Pharaoh to send the children of Israel out of his land.” (see Exodus 7:1-2 NKJV). God informed Moses that His plans would be fulfilled.
GOD’S SERPENT SWALLOWED PHAROAH’S
The Lord had declared that Moses was a prophetic picture of Himself. And Aaron was like his prophet or representative. Moses appeared again to Pharaoh to speak what the Lord had said.
Pharaoh demanded proof that Moses had seen God. Moses instructed Aaron to cast his rod onto the ground and it became a serpent. Pharaoh instructed his wise men and sorcerers to do the same. God’s serpent then swallowed all of Pharaoh’s serpents. This was a sign that God was almighty God and that Moses had met with Him (see Exodus 7:10-12 NKJV).

(10) So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the LORD commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
(11) But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
(12) For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
The wise men and sorcerers’ serpents represented the best of man’s power working through demonic power. The serpent from the Lord devoured all other serpents. The wise men speak to mankind trying to be god through their own wisdom and intellect. The sorcerers points to man’s effort to tap into supernatural power from evil sources. God’s answer consumed them all.
ALL POWER AND AUTHORITY
Moses took up the serpent that had defeated all the Pharaoh’s serpents. God’s serpent became a rod again after obtaining the victory.
Jesus appeared to the disciples after the resurrection on a mountain near Galilee. He then declared, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (see Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV).
He then said that He would be with them always (see Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV).
BRAZEN SERPENT
LEADERS LED BY FEAR
God instructed Moses to take up another serpent later in Israel’s journey in the desert. The Lord had led the people to the river next to the promised land. Twelve spies went into the land to see what and who was there. Ten of the spies came back with a bad report due to being overcome by fear of what they saw there.
These leaders caused fear to overcome all the people. They rebelled against God and wanted to return to Egypt. God consequently removed the ten leaders and declared that the present adult generation would not enter into the promised land. They had rejected God’s plan for them to take the land (see Numbers 13 and 14).
THE PEOPLE REJECT GOD
The people then complained to Moses about God. God sent fiery serpents among the people. The people were not safe from the fiery serpents because they were far from God in their hearts. These serpents bit and killed many people. Then they returned to God and asked Moses for help (see Numbers 21: 4-6).
GOD HAS MERCY
God had mercy on the people and instructed Moses to make a fiery serpent and mount it onto a pole before the people. If someone was bitten by a fiery serpent and then would gaze upon the brazen serpent on the pole they would be healed (see Numbers 21: 7-9).
JESUS WILL BE LIFTED UP
JESUS IS THE ANTIDOTE
The entire world has been snake bit. They have a death sentence over them until they turn to Jesus, the antidote.
The brazen serpent lifted by Moses pointed to Jesus being lifted up on the cross and becoming the curse for all mankind. All who will turn to Jesus pass from judgement.
John 3:14-15
(14) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
(15) that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus was looking forward to the cross when He said, “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” Jesus defeated the devil at the cross. The devil is cast out. That means he is a trespasser. God’s people are to execute judgement against the devil by lifting up Jesus. He said, “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” (see John 12: 31-35 NKJV)

IT’S TIME TO TAKE UP SERPENTS
Jesus appeared to the eleven disciples after being resurrected and said, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (see Mark 16:15-18 NKJV)
These are the times and seasons before us.
- “they will cast out demons”
- God’s people will bind “the strong man” and plunder his goods. A great harvest is coming forth.
- “they will speak with new tongues”
- They will walk in fullness of His Spirit saying all that He declares.
- “they will take up serpents”
- They will walk in dominion authority before the world systems.
- “if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them”
- Deadly or poisonous medical injections will not harm them.
- “they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.”
- A great healing and move of God is unfolding. God will restore people’s bodies.
God is calling on His people to “take up serpents” in these defining days (see Mark 16:18). This command has two primary messages. One message is for Christians and the other message is to the unsaved.
MESSAGE FOR GOD’S PEOPLE
God is calling on His people to take up the serpent by the tale as Moses did before Pharaoh. It’s time for God’s people to represent God to the world in dominion authority. It’s time to trust that Jesus has swallowed all the serpents before us when He became the serpent on the pole. In other words, Jesus swallowed all the works of the devil when He became our sin while hanging on the cross. It’s time to pick up the serpent knowing that the enemy is defeated.
Colossians 2:13-15
(13) And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,
(14) having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
(15) Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
THE ROD OF HIS STRENGTH
When God’s people take up the victorious serpent we will see that it has become the rod of God’s strength. God is going to move through His people in authority in ways that will destroy the works of the devil.
Psalms 110:1-3 NKJV
(1) A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord,”Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
(2) The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
(3) Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
MESSAGE FOR THE UNSAVED
People will behold the brazen serpent and be healed. Millions will be saved as God’s people walk in His authority and proclaim the Gospel. Millions will be healed from the deadly poison they have taken into their bodies.
TIMES AND SEASONS
WISE MEN AND SORCERERS
The devil has been working through mankind to establish his evil kingdom. A singular world where the devil would be the source of all power and the object of all worship.
The covid virus released in late 2019 was the latest attempt by the original serpent to destroy God’s purpose for mankind.
The devil works through individuals and human organizations. Most people are unaware that they are advancing demonic agendas. However, there are many people that knowingly partner with the old dragon lucifer. Many human activities start with good intentions but become coopted by the devil.
Most countries turned to science and government agencies for the answer to the plague threatening their lives. It’s interesting that many of the international medical organizations incorporate a logo that has a serpent wrapped around a staff or rod (see World Health Organization logo).
These organizations demanded allegiance and obedience from the masses. They assured protection from the deadly plague threatening nations.
Everyone and all people were pressed to obey. Even churches agreed that meeting together should cease for a time. Fear was used as a rod to lead the masses into a blind belief in man’s solutions. Consequently, an emerging religion came forth. A belief system where “trust the science” became the creed.
“Trust the Science” meant trust the favored protocol. One answer imposed onto everyone with no distinctions acknowledged between any of the millions of people on the planet. One unified answer. Any person, scientist or medical professional offering a dissenting opinion were silenced.
This was a worldwide coordinated effort that incorporated all political levels, news media, entertainment outlets, and educational systems. People had been captured by fear. Fear caused people to direct their faith to man’s answer.
The world system’s wise men and sorcerers had cast down their serpents before God’s kingdom. These serpents caused fear and harm to millions.
Many people have been harmed or killed by medical injections that were called vaccinations. There will be information becoming more public that will show the harm caused to millions of people. There will be more stories of people injured by the medical injections coming out soon.
Jesus in talking about the devil said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (see John 10:10 NKJV) It’s easy to see the results of the devil’s works. The devil kills, steals, and destroys.
However, Jesus came to the Earth to undo the devil’s efforts. The Apostle John wrote, “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (see 1 John 3:8 NKJV) Jesus came to destroy the devil’s work. The Lord is going to reset the reset.
- God’s people will take up the serpent before Pharaoh and walk in Kingdom dominion. They will display God’s power.
- God’s people will lift Jesus up and He will draw the world to Himself for a great harvest of souls.
- God will release an anointing to heal people harmed by covid and medical injections.
